TESTIMONIALS

  • Fabric dyeing with botanicals was a new activity for me. Mary Ann did a wonderful job of explaining the process and helping us to create beautiful designs. On top of that, Mary Ann was a fantastic host, who made us feel welcomed and at home in her lovely outdoor space.

    ~ REBECCA FARNHAM

Person arranging flower petals on a white cloth surface outdoors. The table has a small cloth with scattered yellow petals and a pink flower in the center. There is a rolled pink cloth off to the side.
  • We were delighted to welcome Mary Ann Stewart back to Brownington, Vermont, as the keynote speaker for our Fiber Faire for the second year in a row. Not only did she fill the church once again with an eager audience—many of them returning specifically to hear what she would share this year—but she also brought her energy and expertise beyond the podium by engaging directly with our artists and visitors, showcasing her beautifully upcycled creations and generously sharing her mending and upcycling skills. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her conversations are as inspiring as they are informative. We are certain that many attendees left encouraged to approach their own textile work with greater creativity and a deeper commitment to sustainability.

~ DANA KARUZA — Old Stone House Museum, Education Director and 2025 Fiber Faire Coordinator

A table covered with a white cloth displays various fabric swatches, books about textiles and natural dyeing, and an open wooden box of plant-dyed paper strips.
  • I am so impressed with the hand dyed baby clothes I received! The colors are beautiful, and the items feel special compared to store-bought items. I love knowing they’re made with safe, natural dyes for a new baby.

    ~ KAYLA

Three baby onesies, receiving blankets/towels, and burping cloths/wash cloths laid flat on a fabric surface, each with a natural dye pattern in pastel shades of yellow, orange, brown, beige, and green.

Patriots' Weekend Stitch-In

I’m hosting another Stitch‑In, on the Saturday of Patriots’ Day Weekend. It’ll be a peaceful gathering where we'll stitch, mend, and reflect together, and it’s happening here in Lexington MA.

This isn’t about perfection or expertise. It’s about presence, repair, and remembering that there are only threads of community. We’ll open with a grounding ritual, do some stitching, and close with a circle of reflection. Bring the project you’re working on or want help with, be it sewing, knitting, crochet, or mending. All are welcome. No experience needed. Questions? Use the Contact Form HERE to reach out!
