Come hang with me and repair your favorite clothing items at Waltham's Mighty Squirrel on July 19th and 26th from 11AM - 1PM.
As a garment repair specialist, I love helping keep beloved clothes in circulation and out of the landfill. Bring your jeans, sweaters, outdoor gear, special vintage and modern pieces. I'll help you problem-solve your repair work onsite. If the repair is complex, I can do it for you and have your garment mailed back to you within an agreed upon time frame.
What to bring: Your favorite clothing that just needs repair or renewal. Repair holes in clothes like jeans, sweaters, flannels, button ups, t-shirts, athletic wear (yoga, running shorts, etc.), puff jackets, etc. Some popular requests:
Button, hook and eye, or snap replacements
Zipper replacements
Unraveling or split seams
Runs in sweaters
By default, repairs will be in the most invisible/subtle way possible. If you want a visible repair, like Sashiko or visible patching, I love doing that too! Just come with an idea, or tell me, "designers choice” and I'll create something beautiful and unique for you.
What not to bring: No formal wear (i.e., fabrics like silk, chiffon, tulle, fine wool suits, jacket linings needing replacement). No leather. No luggage or bulky backpacks/bags (totes are OK). No alterations (i.e., hemming).

Details & Pricing: This is a BYO mending event for $5 (cash or Venmo), and I’ll have some materials to share, like buttons, threads, needles, patches, and snips for you to use for your own mend/repair. Enjoy coffee or a tasty brew while you stitch, or, if I’m doing your repair, I'll text you when your item is ready for pick up. For anything you'd like me to repair on 7/26 that requires more time than we have available (2 hours), we’ll coordinate on an agreed upon time and place for a return or I’ll ship back to you (+$12 flat rate).
Snaps, hook/eye are $8-12
Mending starts at $25 (holes, unraveled stitching, darns)
A full restoration of jeans with lots of areas to address, for example, is typically ~$250 or a full jacket zipper replacement can be ~$150
Average customer spends $65 per piece.
